Gun violence takes a toll on individuals, families and communities. While many stores focus on those who are shot and killed, something that’s easily overlooked is that many more people who are shot survive… but recovery is anything but simple on survivors and their loved ones.
Stronger Every Day: Healing After Gun Violence is an audio documentary from Kouvenda Media and Tashawn Strother features Strother’s first-person narrative detailing the story of her son Walter’s physical, psychological, and emotional recovery following a non-fatal shooting.
It was produced with support from the Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting’s Credible Messenger Reporting Project, the Independence Public Media Foundation, and the Stoneleigh Foundation, and mixed by Brad Linder.
