Mid-Americana: Stories From a Changing Midwest (podcast)

Brad Linder · · Leave a Comment

The Mid-Americana podcast is a series exploring the history and identity of the Midwest region through the stories of people in the region.

Season one was released in 2019, and is titled “Homecoming,” and features the stories of eight native Iowans who moved away from the Midwest and then came back to stay.

Season 2 is com in October, 2020 and it’s titled “Immigration,” and features the stories of people who have moved to the United States from other countries and settled in the Midwest.

New episodes will be released every two weeks.

Mid-Americana is produced by Brian Campbell and Joshua Doležal of Central College in Iowa. Theme music was composed and performed by Adam Bruce, and artwork for the series is created by Mathew Kelly.

And I’ve had the pleasure of working as the show’s sound engineer, providing assistance by editing, mixing and helping out with other elements of podcast production.
