Maybe it’s me, but the upcoming GT-R1 guitar and bass recorder from Tascam looks awfully familiar… oh right, that’s probably because it looks virtually identical to the Tascam DR-1 portable audio recorder.
The only differences I can see are that the case has been painted red, and some of the labels have been changed. For example, the quarter inch input on the bottom now says “Guitar In” instead of “Mic 2 In.” I assume that means it’s a line level input instead of mic-level. But the recorder also still has built in stereo mics and a mic input which means you can use it to record interviews, podcasts, concerts, or anything else.
Both the GT-R1 and DR-1 can record or playback WAV and MP3 files with resolutions up to 24-bit/48kHz. The GT-R1 should be available later thismonth for about 200€ or about $311 US.

I was looking for something like this Tascam. Maybe I must stick for the previous version. Cheaper?
Also I’m buying a new Samsung LCD Plasma
It actually looks like the GT-R1 has amp simulation and effects, looping, a metronome, rhythm tracks, and speed change without changing the pitch.
The DR-1 already had the overdub, tuner and vocal canceler.
