It’s been just over a week since I launched Eee Site, a new page for Eee-related news and tips. Here are just a few of the stories you’ll find there:

Although the Eee PC has only been available for a short period of time, there are already tons of software and hardware hacks. I’ll keep bringing you interesting nuggets as I find them.

I am confuse about which type of external mic to use with my PCM D50.I tried my old sony digital stereo mic used with my MD recorder and work well. I tried also 3 different type of dynamic studio mic but i fell too much noise. Please suggest me a good external mic for field recording, mono or stereo?

This is going to be a matter of taste. My multi-purpose mic of choice has long been the EV RE-50, because it sounds good in many conditions and has little handling noise. So that’s what I’ve been using with my PCM-D50, but others have reported success with shotgun mics, lavalier mics, or other mics.
If you like your sony digital stereo mic, then keep using it. But if you need a good dynamic omni, I’d say I’m happy with the RE-50, but it might not be right for you.
Sorry to be so vague, but unfortunately there’s no such thing as a one size fits all answer for this kind of question.
