Free tickets to the Audio Engineering Society convention

Brad Linder · Sep 28, 2007 · Leave a Comment

The Audio Engineering Society is holding its annual convention in New York from October 5-8. I read about the convention a few weeks ago and then looked at the entrance fees for non-members and promptly decided it wasn’t worth my time. The cheapest pass you can get is $50, which will let you see the exhibitors on the floor. If you want to check out the full program including symposiums, you could be out up to $475.

But then a colleague at the Association for Independents in Radio sent out a link to a page that lets you register for a free 4-day pass. This is the limited pass that just lets you check out the exhibitions, but considering what I really want to do is get a good look at the Fostex FR2-LE and any other affordable flash audio recorders/mics, and other field gear I can find, that will do nicely.

If you’re in the New York area and looking for a place to see the latest audio engineering technology, today is the last day to register for the free pass.
